Tartan Bearer (NAP) was outgunned by an unknown American quantity yesterday... but today we aim to turn the tables with a horse that we've already won with a couple of times this season.
Our main bet is in the Ascot#4 Monsieur Chevalier (NAP) of Richard Hannon. This horse has continued to produce the goods every time he's been asked and it will take a big reversal of form for one of his home grown opponents to beat this impressive 2yo. As for the American horse, Yogaroo, that's a different matter...
Other races today feature Fremantle (4.55) for Aidan O'Brien and Quai d'Orsay e/w in the 5.30 for Mark Johnston. As for Yeats, that's a tough one to call. The gut feeling is that he's opposable today... we're just not sure what with!
Other recommendations today go for Femme De Fer (Warwick 2.20), Alanbrooke (Ripon 5.10) and Silver Linnet (Musselburgh 6.30) - where we also have to mention the two Haggas horses Storming Sioux (8.00) and Sir Isaac (8.30).
Acquisition (8.40) is the best bet at Leicester and the first day at Ffos Las provides a conundrum on the first race, Ffos Las Diamond or Plunkett? We're just going to side with the former.
