We aim to put last week firmly behind us over the next few days. A poor run was had by our NAP bets and despite a few other winners elsewhere it's those bets which we look to as the yardstick for the service.
Main bet today comes from the Richard Hannon yard, it's #13 Ragsta (NAP) in the 6.30 at Windsor. This 2yo has shown decent enough form on both starts to date and this yard, always respected with its juveniles, has a solid enough record here with its runners. We'd have prefered Richard Hughes up top but Pat Dobbs is a capable enough pilot.
Later there's every chance that Mons Calpe e/w can go close to landing a hat-trick for Paul Cole in the 8.30.
One race to mention at Warwick tonight is the 7.10. Here Aalsmeer sets a high standard on its Listed run last time out but one yard you always need to keep an eye on is that of Sir Mark Prescott. He's won this race twice before and today's entrant, Virginia Hall, could prove to be anything ... so watch the market.
This afternoon a few to mention at Carlisle, but question marks about a couple of them, Ailsa Carmel (2.15), Arabian Pearl (4.15) and Jimwil (5.45). All have been mentioned this morning but none falls into the 'banker' category.
One jumps meeting today at Sedgefield in the 4.30 where the quirky Hunting Tower, again under Tony McCoy, is seen as the best bet of the card for Jimmy Lambe.
