The Winning Line Daily Bulletin: 12 August 08

A few bits and pieces to mention on a day which is slightly, only slightly, more appealing than Monday's rather mediocre action. Night Seed found one too good at Windsor last night where we also highlighted the possible claims of Acclaimed (W9/2) against the odds-on French Art...

Today we've already lost Newton Abbot to waterlogging - enjoying the British Summer are you? - but we still have three other meetings which have drawn a variety of comment.

The sole remaining afternoon meeting is at Lingfield. Here the claims of Red Kestrel are clear for all to see but already at 8/13 and with Goldolphin's patchy record of late we'll happily sit this one out. Liberty Valance, we're told, is the best of a poor bunch in the 3.30 and Dvinsky has place claims in the 4.00 - although not aided by a bad draw.

Musselburgh tonight gives us #1 Dispol Kylie (NAP) in the 6.40. Kevin Ryan's Majuba will give this 2yo most to do but with the ground to suit and a decent claimer up top this is clearly the one to beat.

Linda Perratt's Mystical Ayr has been mentioned in the next but we've had nothing much else to back this one up. Looks a trappy race though!

Finally, at Nottingham, Tasheba will be a short-priced favourite very much to be shot at in the 6.55 - however the Chapple-Hyam runner does have the best form in the race.

Also have a look each-way at #8 Black Moma in the 8.25. With Jamie Spencer back on board this one has very solid place claims.

And that's the lot for Tuesday. Salisbury and Yarmouth have already got the phones buzzing for Wednesday, we'll be back with you in the morning.
