Once again, another day yesterday which proved good in terms of information as we saw Certain Promise W4/6, Ghufa e/w 3rd 14/1 > 8/1 plus a well-backed success for our NAP as Galpin Junior W5/4 > 8/15.
That makes it 4 winners from 6 (66%) for our NAP bets this month to follow on from 16 from 26 in July (61%). Very good information just on its own.
The only annoyance was the victory of Ascot Lime as opposed to Tanto Faz - having lost patience with the Stoute runner only for him to finally win!!
Information not quite as plentiful today but we still have high hopes of going into the weekend on the back of another profitable day.
Nothing again today for Brighton. Like Thursday's meeting not very inspiring fare at the Sussex track, more for the holiday-makers than serious backers.
We'll move instead to Lingfield. One to note here with Masamah in the 3.40. We were on Ed Dunlop's Ghufa yesterday and there is a decent word for this one today provided a near three month lay-off and a lack of headgear don't cancel out the favourable impression he made at York on debut.
Over the jumps at Worcester, have a look at #5 Andrew Nick in the chase at 4.50. Not one for the mortgage but owned by the trainer (Nigel Twiston-Davies) we can expect another solid effort after that latest Perth effort. Competitive race but odds of 4/1 seem fair.
Tonight at Haydock it's Barry Hills all the way. Two runners for the trainer and we've been told to be on the right side of both. That's #7 Servoca in the 7.05 and #1 Amber Queen (NAP) in the 8.35.
The former has been unlucky not to win thus far and the latter, our NAP, has Martin Dwyer on board who does very well with Hills (4-9, 44%) and can add to that record.
Finally, at Newmarket, we're still highly dubious of the Godolphin runners of late and would prefer to be on Johnn Dunlop's By Command than Meydan City in the 7.50.
We've received better information for Henry Cecil's #19 Wingwalker in the opener at 5.50. Very well regarded at home this juvenile is expected to open his account this evening before going on to better things - this one will be punted we're told.
That's it for today, back with you once again tomorrow morning.
