Jump racing has been taking place at Bangor on Dee Racecourse since 1859 and is steeped in history. All the greatest jump jockeys have ridden here and the present crop of top jockeys all regularly turn up at each meeting.
Bangor is a left-handed jumps racecourse set in glorious countryside and overlooked by the Welsh hills. The course has a unique character, exemplified by the fact that it is the only Racecourse in the country that doesn't have a Grandstand. No worries on the viewing front though as the main grass viewing bank provides a natural amphitheatre to the racing action.
